I am wondering is there anything out there to add to a carburetor to get it started without having to prime it. I am wanting to install an remote starter and i cant afford to buy a fuel injection kit for it.

Depends on what type of carb but you could get an electric choke, which will automaticly close when the engine is cold. I did this on a 77 camaro i had. I purchased a new carb and added an electric choke kit. Pretty inexpensive kit and installs in the factory location, just need to run power to it.

If it is electric you will not have to pull a cable to choke it. Also there will already be a wire ran to it. It will only be one wire that is cliped to the external housing. Genraly the housing is black plastic, round and about three inches in diamiter. Also has three hold down screws. Usualy on the pasanger side of the carb. The conversion kit from manual to electric choke comes with a new black housing and all the necessary stuff. Pretty cheap and you can get it at your local parts store. For the power suply i tapped into the wiper motor, constant hot wire.
